I’ve suffered from dull skin for as long as I can remember. It doesn't change no matter how much water I drink or how many skin-loving vitamins I take, it doesn’t change. Not only does it promise to help to brighten the complexion, but it claims to help combat dark spots, too.

The serum is formulated with the brand’s dark spot correcting complex, along with hyaluronic acid, squalene, and powerful anti-oxidants. While squalene and hyaluronic acid help with the hydration side of things, the product is also powered by the brand’s RES Technology. This is a method that uses bio-engineered proteins to help promote rapid skin cell turnover. In a nutshell? It’ll help shed damaged and dead skin cells faster than any normal serum.
My Review
The product has a light, almost watery texture that my skin absolutely lapped up, which was a good sign. This meant that the molecules within the formula were small enough to seep through the top layer of my skin, getting inside to work its magic. When a product vanishes on the skin virtually instantly, it means that it’s actually taking some effect, as opposed to just sitting on the surface.
As soon as I applied Perfectif Even Skin Tone Serum, my skin felt very hydrated and definitely looked less lacklustre than before – an instant win! I also found, over the course of a few weeks, that my dark spots seemed much less apparent than before. While this may be an expensive habit to upkeep, I think my hyperpigmentation could be significantly improved with prolonged use of this stuff. Pretty impressive!
My Skincare Routine With This Serum
When you’re spending a lot of money on a product, you want to make sure that you are getting the most from it. This is why I follow a brief routine before applying this serum in the evening. Firstly, I double cleanse my skin by slathering on a cleansing balm to remove make-up, before using a hot cloth cleanser to help open up my pores. Then, I exfoliate (either with a chemical or physical exfoliant) to rid my skin of any dead skin cells. I then leave my skin slightly damp before putting on the serum, so that the hyaluronic acid in the product can lock in the moisture left on my skin. Then, I follow up with a night cream. I also like to apply a pea-sized amount of the product to my face in the mornings, before applying my SPF. The anti-oxidant ingredient in the serum helps to shield against skin-damaging environmental factors that can cause pigmentation to flare up.
