Shani Darden is an expert esthetician and the secret behind Hollywood's most flawless faces. She has always set herself apart with her result-oriented approach to skincare. She focuses on simple but effective products and solutions. While developing custom products for her clients, she developed a passion for creating products that she could not find. As a result, the Shani Darden Skincare range was born out of that passion. Shani's Retinol Reform serum quickly became a cult favorite among all including celebrities.
I have been using three products from Shani Darden Skincare range for the last few months and finally sharing my thoughts here. My routine includes the Cleansing Serum, Intensive Eye Renewal Cream, and Retinol Reform. I am going to start with the Cleansing Serum.
Cleansing Serum, from the name, I was not sure what the product will be like. Is it just a cleanser or is it in between a cleanser and a treatment? I was very interested in the texture of it too. So when I started using it, I was very happy and surprised at how unique this product is. With the intelligent name of the product, the formula is simple yet intelligent. I take a pump or two of this cleanser for my face and neck. It is a very gentle gel-like cleanser. It makes a very smooth and light lather that melts all the impurities and my skin feels fresh, clean, and soothing.
In addition, it is not drying and does not clog the pores. The Hyaluronic Acid, oat bran extract, and olive extract restore skin moisture, helps with any inflammation, and calm the skin. My skin feels soft and clean.
Intensive Eye Renewal Cream
Intensive Eye Renewal Cream is my go-to eye cream aka treatment these days from Shani Darden Skincare range. It is such a beautiful and luxurious formula. The formula is a little thick but it instantly melts onto the skin once applied and tapped. The key ingredients are like a cocktail of the best one can think of. That includes Silk Tree Extract to lift eyelids and prevent sagging, and help with dark circles. Niacinamide to help with fine lines and wrinkles.
Also, ingredients to hydrate, soothe, support the natural elasticity to firm and illuminate the eye area. In addition, it calms the area too. I find this eye cream very hydrating, calming, and soothing for my eye area. It melts into the skin and makes it appear supple. And yes, it hides my fine lines and brightens the eye area.
Now the star product of the Shani Darden Skincare range, Retinol Reform. Retinol is something I have used in my skincare since I turned in my 30s. I have used many and since I read all the amazing things about this one from Shani, I was very curious. I use Retinol Reform 2-3 times a week. And I make sure not to use any actives a day before or after I use retinol. Retinol Reform has helped my dark spots, dullness, and uneven texture. The formula is gentle and stable. It has not caused any irritation or breakouts on my skin.
A good thing is that Retinol Reform has a time-release encapsulated formula that delivers a consistent stream of retinol throughout the night to minimize irritation. The formula also has AHA, Lactic Acid, which helps brighten and smooth the skin. The formula absorbs quickly into the skin and I prefer using a non-active moisturizer after Retinol Reform. Also, I make sure to use sunscreen the next morning and every day. I am very happy with the results.
Retinol and sunscreen are the best antiaging ingredients and I am happy to be using them both, one in the day and the other in the night. My skin looks bright, fine lines have disappeared (after using it for over a month now), the skin has an even texture, and is smooth. Overall, I am impressed with the Shani Darden Skincare range.
Another product I have thoroughly enjoyed is the gentle and non-irritating version of Retinol, called retinal. Omorovicza Midnight Renewal Serum is another brilliant product.
