Why Can The Sun Cause Skin Pigmentation?

Many things can cause hyperpigmentation, but the sun is one of the most common. Hear me out! You will not come home with sun spots if you step out into the sun for short periods. Excess sun exposure over the years causes this type of pigmentation.

The skin produces Melanin, which is responsible for cell protection and colouring your skin. Melanin works by placing itself on top of your skin cells to shield them from UV rays. Depending on your skin carnation, you have more or less of these. When present in a too-large quantity, you will see the appearance of dark spots. Sunspots most often appear on surfaces exposed to the sun, like hands and the face.

My Review

This month it was time to up my skin protection routine. Although I wear sunscreen year-round, I wanted to ensure my skin was prepared for the hotter days ahead.

Skinceuticals Phloretin serum boosts your skin and preserves a youthful look. I love the light and fast-absorbing texture of the serum and have seen results in just two weeks of use.

I have a few dark spots on my face, affecting my confidence. So, I applied the serum daily and noticed that my dark spots had begun to fade in colour and size. Moreover, I will continue this serum throughout the summer for sure!
