Once off, I find it instantly imparts a glow and evenness to the skin. My pores look diminished while my skin looks flawless. I can definitely compare it to the glass-like effect. Smooth, even, and radiant skin. This mask is also hydrating. This is an instant worker to give an even and radiant complexion.

Molecular Hydration Mask

In the 111Skin Liquid Masks range, this particular mask helps hydrate and soften the skin while plumping it. It helps dry, dehydrated, and problem skin to restore its nourishment. The Vitamin C, Prebiotic Complex, Hyaluronic Acid, and other key ingredients work in conjunction to stimulate the skin's internal processes. This mask can be used 2 to 3 times a week.

The mask has a creamy lightweight texture. It glides nicely on the skin. I keep it on for 10-15 minutes. I find my skin been very soft, supple, and youthful since I started including it in my routine. Also, I find it brightens up the complexion while also imparting radiance to the skin. I feel all ready for the colder months.

Rose Quartz Exfoliating Mask

This multi-fruit acid mask from the 111Skin Liquid Masks range helps brighten, smooth, and illuminate the skin. It utilizes both chemical and physical exfoliation to slough off the dead skin. I love this mask for the days my skin feels clogged or looks dull. It can be used 2 to 3 times a week.

The gel-like texture with noticeable exfoliating beads does not irritate the skin and does not feel harsh. I keep it on for 10-15 minutes. It instantly refreshes the complexion. I find it helps my congested pores. My skin looks clear, bright, and fresh. It also hydrates and unifies the complexion. The dark spots and pigmentation on my skin seem faded and my pores look diminished. It works as a facial at home.

Microbiome Blemish Mask

This mask helps to clarify, calm, and balance the skin. The alpha-hydroxy acids, prebiotic complex, colloidal silver, and other key ingredients gently exfoliate the skin. It clears and calms the complexion while soothing and reducing any redness, inflammation, or irritation. The light gel-like texture applies nicely. I reach out for it when I have a breakout or feel like my skin is super congested or irritated. 111Skin The Hydration Concentrate Review

After completing my 7-day treatment of Y Theorem Concentrate and Clarity Concentrate, I am finally on to the next one. The Hydration Concentrate is one of the 5 concentrates in the newly launched collection from 11Skin. 111Skin The Hydration Concentrate is a 7-day treatment that is designed to provide hydration to the skin. The packaging and usage of all the concentrates are similar. There is an opener included in the overall packaging of the concentrates and it is very easy to use. For my detailed article on everything about ampoules and which ampoule is good for specific skin concerns, read my post.

The key idea behind 111Skin The Hydration Concentrate is to saturate the skin in water and prevent transdermal water loss. To do that, an active blend of ingredients is used that I have briefly mentioned in the next paragraph. Hydration Concentrate addresses the concerns of dehydrated and dry skin. Keep in mind that all skin types can be dehydrated and may lack moisture. The reason may be stress, environmental, or even hormonal that any skin looks and feels dry and dehydrated. Moreover, hydration is something all skin types need in any way. The hydrating product should not clog the pores and the formula may differ depending on the skin type.

Key Ingredients

The key ingredients in The Hydration Concentrate focus on hydrating and keeping the skin comfortable. They include:

Natural Moisturizing Factors or NMFs are naturally present in the skin and they prevent moisture loss from the skin. Also, they keep outer layer of the skin protected and hydrated.
Sodium Lactate that is a humectant attracts and retains water within the skin. Also, it prevents the ksin from getting dehydrated, dry, or flaky.
Hyaluronic Acid Microspheres give a beautiful dewy glowwhile imparting moisture to the skin.

My Thoughts

The Hydration Concentrate works very well with any other ampoules as well as other treatment serums or even on their own before moisturizer. I shake the ampoule nicely before opening it. The texture of this formula is the thickest of all the concentrates compared in the range. But it is not thick as such. It is a little milky and applies really well on the skin. A little massage on the face, neck, and decollete, it absorbs quickly. The formula gives an instant sense of calm and glows to the skin.

It has helped my skin that is dehydrated and dull during this time of the year. Even when my skin is a little irritated and needs some soothing after the sun, these ampoules add in some extra layer of protection and moisture. They have not caused any congestion or breakouts. I use these ampoules in my evening skincare routine as I feel my skin feels nice and supple when I wake up the next morning. My skin is glowy, supple, and hydrated. As it is summer right now and I have combination skin, I used these ampoules on alternate days. I can totally see myself using these every night in winter or fall. Again, it is up to your skin and its needs. I follow up with a light moisturizer on the summer nights while for winters, I will reach out for a rich moisturizer.

111Skin The Y Theorem Concentrate Review

111Skin The Y Theorem Concentrate is one of the 5 new concentrates launched by 111Skin. The 7-day treatment is designed to repair the skin. The concentrates are at another level of performance and results than any other product I have used. I finished my Clarity Concentrate last week and then started these Y Theorem Concentrate. The usage and care have to be the same as the other concentrates. You can refer to my detailed article on why and what of ampoules along with the different concentrates available for specific skin conditions.

The Y Theorem Concentrate aims to nourish and strengthen the epidermal barrier. The key role of the epidermal barrier is to limit the passive loss of water from the body to the environment. It also helps reduce the absorption of chemicals from the environment and prevent microbial infection. In the case of Y Theorem Concentrate, the blend of active ingredients is formulated to address compromised and stressed skin to nourish and strengthen it. In other words, it helps recover the skin.

Key Ingredients

The Y Theorem Concentrate has the following key ingredients:

NAC Y² – It boosts production of an essential antioxidant of cellular repair. This master antioxidant is called Glutathione and it is a key component in tkeeping the skin healthy.
Ectoin – It protects the skin from cell-damaging factors like pollution, weather, and stress.

Since I started using Y Theorem Concentrate, my skin is calm and hydrated. The concentrates have a little strong smell that is a little pungent at first, more like professional treatments. I got used to it after using it twice. The concentrate is a little watery compared to the Clarity Concentrate. I think one ampoule is more than enough of one-time use. I apply it on my face and neck, then reapply until it is finished. Once it soaks into the skin, I follow will my eye cream and moisturizer. I do feel the smell of it on my fingers a little longer.

Y Theorem Concentrate has calmed my skin that gets irritated and inflamed from the stress. Also, with the heat and compromised air quality with the smokes (from forest fires), my skin was behaving and getting drier. It instantly hydrated and soothed the skin. I noticed my dull skin is radiant and supple even when I am dealing with stress and lacking rest. The tiredness and lack of moisture do not show on my skin. This truly is a nice quick-fix plus care for the time when I lack my everyday routine and self-care. My skin looks fresh and healthier.

111Skin has launched a new range of treatments aka ampoules. Ampoules are basically a highly potent treatment or booster that penetrates the skin with concentrated ingredients. It can be compared to more like a skin shot of actives to the skin. 111Skin has launched 5 kinds of ampoules for the specific skin concerns they aim to help with. The 111Skin concentrates or ampoules created by Dr. Yannis Alexandrides are a 7-day program. That means, there are 7 ampoules per program per package and they have high potency and highly concentrated formula, comparable to skincare prescriptions. In this post, I am going to concentrate on 111Skin The Clarity Concentrate.

Why An Ampoule?

The first thing to notice for an ampoule is its unique and innovative packaging. This design makes sure the potency of the ingredients and the formula are preserved until the time it is to be actually used. The sealed glass packaging ensures that the formula is not oxidized or is degraded which usually happens when any product is exposed to the environment, especially highly concentrated formulas. Also, each ampoule is sized according to the dose required by the skin, the right dose. The 7 ampoules are recommended as a 7-day cycle for each ampoule to penetrate and deliver the benefits.

There is much more to the above concentrates than is mentioned and I will share them in detailed posts. I have linked my reviews of the specific concentrates that I have tried in the bulleted points above. The good thing is that they can be used independently or combined over a two, three, or four-week period with those from other collections.

The Clarity Concentrate

111Skin The Clarity Concentrate is a 7-day treatment program designed to balance and clear the skin. It is most suitable for skins that are prone to blemishes and congestion. The Clarity Concentrate has a blend of active ingredients that work to reduce the appearance of breakouts and congestion. That helps to balance the skin microbiome to reduce inflammation and balance oil production for congested, blemished, and oily skin.

The Clarity Concentrate – Key Ingredients

The key ingredients in The Clarity Concentrate are:

Colloidal Sulphur – It balances natural oils and prevents congestion of pores. It has strong anti-bacterial properties for the skin.
Willow Bark Extract – It is rich in BHA, helps to decongest pores, reduces blackhead formation, and reduces skin infalmmation.
Microalgae Extract – Chlorella Vulgaris is rich in B vitamins, zinc, and magnesium. Thus, reducing inflammation. Chlorella extract also acts as a healer, minimises the redness of skin.
Cleome Leaf Extract – It is an African plant and is know for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

How I use The Clarity Concentrate?

I have completed my 7-day cycle of 111Skin The Clarity Concentrate. I used the 7 ampoules for a period of 8 nights, skipping 1 day in between. The opener is included complimentary with the ampoule set. It is surprisingly easy to use. I was expecting a little mess when I opened my first ampoule but it is really easy to open. As advised, I use one entire ampoule peruse per night. I apply the product on the face and neck, patting gently in upward motions. This ampoule does not replace my cleansing, toning, and moisturizing routine. I use it on the serum step on clean skin, before applying moisturizing.

One thing to keep in mind for The Clarity Concentrate is to shake the ampoule a little. It is a little watery but easy to apply and blends well. Once it is absorbed into the skin, there is no residue.

My Review

Despite being a professional-grade and high potency formula, 111Skin The Clarity Concentrate did not irritate my skin. I feel it is gentle on my skin. It has caused no dryness on my skin although I was expecting some like other products that target congestion and blemish-prone skins. After using it for 1 day, I noticed a change in my skin the next morning. But again it might be just me. So, I had to make sure I have used the entire cycle before coming to a conclusion. I have not noticed a single breakout or bump on my skin since I started using it. My skin is calm and comfortable. Coincidentally, I was going through a stressful period and this really made me forget that I have to take extra care of my skin during this time.

My skin is a combination with occasional breakouts, just past my mid-30s. I have dark spots from my earlier breakouts and some pigmentation. Those problem areas really improved as I used this treatment every day. There is overall clarity and radiance on the skin. It is something I can compare with me being on vacation and getting up in the morning with relaxed and carefree skin, sun shining outside and I am ready for a full day of fun. My pore size, especially on the nose area and cheeks where they are most visible, has reduced too. Again, no breakouts, I completed the regime last weekend and still can see the results. My skin is clear and balanced, not oily and not dry. My skin, but better. I am impressed with 111Skin The Clarity Concentrate.

My skin is ready and I am excited to try the next 7-day ampoule cycle. I am still thinking about whether to use few treatments together over a period of few weeks or stick to 1.
