The Notes

To achieve this endlessly green and intriguing fragrance, Chantecaille selected some of the rarest combinations.

-TOP NOTE: The perfume opens with a refreshing herbal blend of Thyme, Rosemary, Bergamot, and ylang-ylang. Extremely invigorating, the scent awakens you from the first spray.

-MID NOTE: In the fragrance's heart lies the Indonesian Patchouli. Slightly sweeter and earthier than other types, it brings a pure Asian touch to the scent. When combined with Geranium, Rhubarb, Olibanum, and Ciste, the perfume becomes slightly more oriental.

–DRY DOWN: Lastly, bringing harmony and smoothness to the scent is a blend of Cedar, Musk, Agarwood, and Sandalwood. Although the perfume base mainly contains woody notes, it brings a certain creaminess. This base will last you all day long and create an excellent sillage. 

My Review

Chantecaille fragrances have always surprised me regarding the unique combinations used. This is for you if you are looking for a perfume that stands out. The scent has a very sexy feel and smells beautiful on both men and women. I tried it with my partner, and it evolves entirely differently depending on the skin. I recommend this to those who like a perfume others can smell without it being overpowering. The scent immediately boosts my mood and leaves me confident for the day. Kalimantan lasted me all day and sticks well to my skin or hair. Earthy without being too green. Woody without being too rich. Chantecaille found the perfect balance between the notes.

With fall slowly closing on us, I have started to search for my autumn/ winter scent. After using The Meliorna scent this season, I know Parfums de Marly will be a reliable choice.

How To Make Your Perfume Last Longer?

Some scents don't want to stick around! I have a couple of tips to help you keep perfume for a more extended period.

• For a longer lasing scent prefer Eau de parfums or Perfume.
• Apply the scents to hot zones of your skin.
• Spray your coat, scarf, or hat to infuse your outfit with the same scent.
• If you have a neutral body lotion, add a few drops of perfume and let it sit on your arms, chest, etc.
• Spray your hairbrush with your perfume while styling your hair.

My Experience

This fall, I wanted to experience something different from the extra-sweet or woody scents I usually wear. Darcy is an excellent option for all floral lovers wanting something warmer and winter-like.

The perfume lasts all day, and I could smell it on my jacket for days! I love how the notes create a sillage that follows me throughout the day. This got me so many compliments!

• Perfume: Luxury at its finest, this concentration generally comes in a smaller format and is applied a few drops directly onto the skin.

My Review

When I received this perfume, I was unsure of what to expect. Jo Malone's fragrances always have a way of transporting you to a time and place. This fragrance is just as described: extremely sensual and woody; the perfume's notes blend perfectly.

The intense cologne lasts 3-4 hours, making a beautiful scent for men and women. Give it a try on both and see how the perfume evolves entirely differently.

After recently purchasing the “sailing day” perfume (review here), I wanted to add another REPLICA scent to m collection of fragrances. If you love coffee and the universe surrounding it, “coffee break” is sure to hit the spot!

The Inspiration

This warm and comforting perfume takes us back to Stockholm in 2007. Inspired by a creamy and cozy memory, the fragrance captures a coffee shop on a cold winter's day.

If you are a caffeine lover like me, I am sure you already have some notes and images in mind. The fragrance allows you to relive the smaller details, such as the frothed milk on your lips, the sweet crispy pastries, and the subtle sound of the coffee machine in the background. Extremely addictive, “coffee break” is the perfect scent.

The Notes

To achieve this enveloping and cozy perfume Maison Margiela has combined four special notes: Coffee accord, milk mousse accord, lavender, and spearmint. The warmth and intensity of the coffee are balanced by a round and smooth, creamy note making the perfect stick to the skin. Lavender and spearmint represent the cooler winter weather, which brings a fresher green note to the perfume. The notes blend to perfection in a surprisingly pleasant way.

My Experience

The coffee break eau de toilette has to be one of my favorite scents from the brand. I love how well the cafe experience is captured; each morning, I relive it. The perfume holds well throughout the day and leaves a lovely sillage. I get many compliments on this perfume, and people are always surprised by the notes inside. I love having a perfume that stands out from the regular ones.

The perfume's juice takes on an orange-tinted color, reflecting the warm character of the scent. Dressed in its iconic REPLICA bottle, the fragrance is perfect in all ways. Try the perfume on the skin rather than on clothes for a true finish, and vaporize from a distance if wearing white or light-colored clothing.

This woody floral perfume is unlike any scent I have tried, with its fragrant and bright top notes. The perfume sets the scene of a particular landscape: The Adirondacks. A place where endless forest cover mountain peaks and crisp breezes invigorate the body and soul.

Like all of Aerin's perfumes, the bottle is decorated with a semi-precious stone and beautiful packaging designed by the talented watercolour artist Helen Dealtry.

The fragrance opens on a lush green note of Violet Leaf and sweet Muguet, floral and sweet. At heart, Cedar violet hides a bouquet of Golden Gardenia and Jasmine. This floral combination is playful and uplifting. The trio of Amber, Sandalwood, and Virginia Cedarwood brings an earthy richness to the scent. Smooth and sensual, these woody notes last long throughout the day.

The Art of Layering Scents

Aerin's perfume collection has been designed to offer creative freedom to its wearer. You can layer the different perfumes to create a scent of your own. I tried this with my two scents and found it very interesting. Imagine having a fragrance that no one else can buy!

My Experience

After my first experience with this brand's perfumes, I had to try the layering technique. I purchased the Cedar Violet fragrance as I am fond of this flower. I was not disappointed by the uniqueness and earthy notes that it revealed. The perfume lasted longer than the Wild geranium and got me many unexpected compliments.

I recommend this perfume to those who enjoy “Autumn vibes” from Maison Margiela.

I layered Wild Geranium with Cedar violet and got a surprisingly beautiful scent. The perfumes balance out to perfection and create a delightful floral fragrance. I recommend experimenting with these scents to find your perfect combination.
