Le Rouge

It is the legendary Givenchy Lipstick in its signature black leather case packaging. The formula has a creamy texture. The pigmentation is high and has a luminous mat finish which is very comfortable on the lips. The combination of the plumping effect of hyaluronic acid spheres with the smoothing action of other key ingredients. I have reviewed the formula multiple times in the past. You can type ‘Givenchy Le Rouge' in the search bar and see swatches of all the shades. Moreover, there is a wide shade range to choose from. Also, it is available in 6 new shades and there are 23 existing permanent shades.

Le Rouge Deep Velvet

Le Rouge Deep Velvet is a new formula in a new case. This brand new variation on Le Rouge packaged in a suede case which has velvety touch foreshadows the makeup effect, vibrant colour with a powdery mat look. The formula is enriched with mango butter. It is comfortable on the lips and has good staying power. Also, there are 6 shades to choose from.

Le Rouge Night Noir

Le Rouge Night Noir takes its name from the Givenchy Fashion 2018 Autumn-Winter collection, whose silhouettes wavering between light and shadow also inspired the glimmering black case. Night Noir coats lips with deep colour tint with black sheen featuring ultra-shiny effect. The formula is gentle and comfortable on the lips. In addition, I feel a little plumping effect along with a little tingle. Also, this lipstick is available in 6 shades.

Givenchy L'Interdit

Along with the makeup launches, I am so excited to share the newest variation of Givenchy L'Interdit. Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Toilette is a floral woody musk fragrance. The scent is the variation of the L'Interdit Eau de Parfum. Master perfumers, Dominique Ropion, Anne Filpo and Fanny Bal are the nose behind this scent. Therefore, L'Interdit Eau de Toilette is an intense and airy fragrance that elicits a shudder of exhilaration on the skin.

The notes of the fragrance are:

• Top Notes: Poppy
• Middle Notes: Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Musk
• Lastly, Base Notes: Vetiver, Patchouli

In other words, it is a lighter version of Eau de Parfum. It pays tribute to the 1957 Original L'Interdit Eau de Toilette bottle and combines timelessness and modernity. Also, the grey satin ribbon laced around the neck, sealed with the House's emblem, a silver 4G logo, conjures up the radiance and freshness of the Eau de toilette.

For the eyecare, the new Givenchy Le Soin Noir Eye Lace Mask is a favourite I am currently enjoying from the house. And the 9 shade eyeshadow palette has a beautiful colour palette worth checking.

Let me start with the Givenchy Couture Edition 2019 makeup launches. This year, Givenchy's makeup icons Le Rouge and Prisme Libre are adorned with a new motif taken from Clare Waight Keller's first runway show for the Fashion House. The cases of Le Rouge and Prisme Libre are embellished with a distinctive graphic camouflage in the form of the Scribble Tiger print, a real signature of the Givenchy Couture wardrobe, dyed in a navy blue and fiery red.

Givenchy Couture Edition 2019 Le Rouge and Prisme Libre are released as limited edition in the edgy, colourful design. Le Rouge No 304 Mandarine Bolero is a fresh, fiery, orangey red shade while Prisme Libre No 1 Mousseline Pastel is a harmonious palette of four loose powders in universally complimentary shades for a perfectly matte and radiant complexion with a sheer finish. There are two versions of Prime Blush available this year – the limited edition Prisme Blush No. 10 which exudes energy reminiscent of the hue of orange shades, and the permanent shade Prisme Blush No. 2 Love, like a bouquet of roses to say ‘I love you'. In the pictures, I have limited edition Prisme Blush No. 10 which are two beautiful orange and pearlescent springtime shades decorated with the legendary 4G emblem. The light shade highlights the skin's radiance, while the more intense shade colours the complexion, producing an instant healthy glow.

Prisme Blush is creamy, light, and long-lasting formula which four shades featured in a pair of two-toned harmonies. The darker, matte shade is very pigmented while the lighter variation is a pearlescent highlighter offering an almost wet effect which softens the strongest colour or brings a radiant glow when the two shades are blended.

Dual Liners ( I still love and use the one released with Mystic Glow Collection for Christmas 2018 which I reviewed here) works as a double stroke of colour, the thin line works as an eyeliner and the eyeshadow are revealed with a single ultra-gliding motion for extra-easy application. The two distinct shades are curated to enhance the colour of the iris and brighten the eyelid.

The creamy texture blends nicely and is long lasting. The shades and their intensity definitely evokes the collection's electro-pop inspiration. The Dual Liners in this collection is available in limited edition shades – Dual Liner No 3 Dynamic in green and blue, Dual Liner No 4 Passionate in rose and mauve hue with orange accents.

Le Rouge is customized with a shaded colour scheme of pinks while enclosing a bold orangish-red called Le Rouge No 332 Fearless. The light, creamy, sculpting formula plumps up the lips with a single stroke while the hyaluronic acid moisturizes and locks in moisture to keep the lips comfortable.

Le Rouge Perfecto Le, the same favourite formula of mine which I have reviewed in the past many times, in tangy shade Le Rouge Perfecto No. 5 Spirited. The formula reacts to the lips pH to offer a personalized color nuance means it will have a slightly different shade on per individual base don their lips pH.

Le Vernis No 12 Strong is inspired by the blue hue of a night sky which depicts the depth the entire The Power of Color collection has.

The formula is nice, hydrates, and defines the lips.

Rich in dense pigments, the lightweight, smooth formula glides on easily to shape and contour, bringing long-lasting definition and radiance. The finish is radiant yet mat with a beautiful velvety texture and feel. I have reviewed this formula many times and each shade is so unique and beautiful.

Givenchy Dual Liner is a half-eyeliner half-eyeshadow duo with a creamy and comfortable texture that embellishes the eyes in just one stroke. Its texture suits all complexions and promises a highly graphic effect for a simple and intuitive application that glides over the eyelids.

In one simple gesture, its long-lasting formula subtly highlights the eyes, day and night, without any transfer of texture. It is available in two bright red and gold shades: Mystic Red and Mystic Gold. I have swatched the shade Mystic Gold. This dual-purpose tool is easy to use, and staying power is nice. The Mystic Gold shade is a taupe lined with gold.

Givenchy’s newest couture creation ‘Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide' is described as a classic lipstick tube with a liquid formula inside. A twist mechanism releases into the applicator a soft, velvet cream. The finish is semi-matte, due to the combination of several powders. Lightweight in feel, long-lasting in effect.

The melt-on-the-mouth formula that also hydrates the lips. This formula with balm-like comfort comes in 14 liquid dense-pigment shades. Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide is encased in a luxurious black leather tube with silver stud detailing, the same iconic and classic packaging which is a total luxury to hold, keep, and apply throughout the day.  It opens to flaunt a distinctly un-lipstick-like, pen-like foam applicator that’s designed to deliver just the right amount of super-vibrant, whipped, creamy liquid color. Open, twist, and it releases a soft, sensual cashmere caress of extravagant, daring color.

‘The formula is hyaluronic-acid-infused which hydrates and smooths the lips like a nourishing lip balm—keeping delicate skin petal-soft for up to six hours—while clay extracts create a brilliant sheath effect that wraps your lips in intense color that lasts all day without a hint of drying. I have been using Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide since last week and I have been impressed with the creation. Starting from the packaging and how the product is dispensed from the top of a foam applicator and the way it feels on the lips, it is all incredible. The application is very easy, glides on very comfortably on the lips. The twist up applicator works very well to control the amount of product you want to apply, If I want a hint of color and not intense finish, I just need to twist a little and good thing is I can see how much the product is dispensed as you see in the picture. The formula is creamy, comfortable to wear and does not dry my lips, my lips are usually dry and prone to peeling but no issues while using it.

From top to bottom – 101 Nude Cachemire, 306 Orange Plumetis, 412 Grenat Alpaga

The staying time is impressive too, I am able to get a wear time of over 5 hours before it starts fading. One swipe is enough to transfer the intensity of color you have dispensed by twisting up, the formula is very smooth and hydrating. For a more precise look, I would recommend a lip liner, it works great for me for that diffused, blurred color look. It is a semi-matte formula but the consistency and feel are like a lip balm. There is a sweet fragrance in the product but very subtle and feels very natural. If you are looking for something moisturizing, semi-matte, pigmented, long-lasting, this is it. I highly highly recommend you to check this one, It has become a favorite.
