Tutti Twilly Eau de Parfum

This Tutti Twilly is the creation of the talented perfumer Christine Nagel. The perfume demonstrates a fun and playful character in its highly concentrated Eaud e Parfum, Eau de parfum. It is inspired by the free spirit of Hermes ladies, and therefore its daring and lightheartedness is not to be underestimated. 

Tutti Twilly is a floral and fruity perfume that combines three significant notes: ginger blossom, mellow lychee, and enveloping musk. If you know any previous editions, Tutti Twilly will surely be your next love.

This is the first Twilly scent and the warmest of the three. You can easily pick up on the ginger note in this edition.

Second to have been released, this edition takes on a fresher and floral approach with a Peony heart.

The bottle.

The design of the Twilly bottle represents a lantern-shaped bottle. Capturing the external light, the perfume showcases the stunning lychee-red color. Like all Twilly fragrances, Tutti is finished with the iconic hand-tied silk ribbon. Thus, the Twilly d'Hermès family evokes the silk métier in two ways: the silk twill scarf and the Twilly, a small, joyful, colorful silk ribbon. Moreover, the Twilly is an Iconic fashion accessory to be worn in endless ways. It is often worn as a head scarf or to decorate the Hermes bag handles.

My experience.

Each year, Hermes surprises me with their Autumn scents. Stepping away from the cliche spicy and intense fall perfumes, Tutti Twilly allows a slow transformation of the seasons. I love how dynamic the Lychee note is and how the ginger perfectly mixes with it. In other words, the perfume is warm and sensual.

Although part of the Twilly family, the Tutti edition transforms into a fresher, easy-to-wear note. I am lucky to have tried the scent and recommend it for Autumn. Overall, Twilly is one of my favorite scents, and the ginger notes never fail to awaken me.

The secret to a subtle, glossy smile: The Hermès Rosy lip enhancer

After reviewing the blush from the Hermes Rose collection (review here), I just had to go back and try this lip enhancer. And let me tell you, Hermes didn't disappoint!

The Rosy Lip Enhancer

I have heard wonders about this NEW lip balm/tint from Hermes. The lip enhancer naturally tints your lip, adding a translucent colour and glossy or matte finish. Also extremely comfortable, this lip balm instantly offers a feeling of hydration and softness to the lips. Not only do my lips look great, but the product is refillable.

Available in four lip-enhancing shades, you mix and match depending on the day's mood. My favourite shade in this collection is the “pink confetti.” This playful pink shade is perfect for lifting your makeup without wearing lipstick. The pink shade has a soft blue undertone and looks stunning with or without makeup. I adore wearing these lip balms as they are easy to apply and look natural.

I love a product that smells divine, and Christine Nagel, the brand's perfumer, created a soft, feminine fragrance for the range. The lip enhancer releases gentle notes of arnica, sandalwood, and candied angelica flowers.

What's inside?

The lip enhancer's formula is jam-packed with lip-nourishing actives. The botanical trio of white mulberry extract, sesame seed, and raspberry-seed oils offer endless suppleness and comfort to the lips. Throughout the day, the balm helps to protect and hydrate the top layer of your lips for a show-stopping smile!

The Design

The rose collection was designed by collaborating with Pierre Hardy. Behind the packaging, the Imagineer sculpted the lip enhancers into a minimalistic and modern tube. The tubes are made up of lacquered and brushed metal materials. Also, to protect your tube from wear and tear, Hermes offers a canvas pouch that you can take with you on the go.

My Review

If you are similar to me and don't adore the sticky texture of gloss, then the lip enhancer is the way to go. These lip balm/ tints give the lip a soft shimmer, smoothing out any lines. Ideal for those light makeup looks, the lip enhancer made my lips feel great all day. Lastly, I recommend storing these products in a cool area to avoid them melting.

The season of blushed cheeks and sun-kissed skin is here, and I am giving you all the tips to get that summer glow.

The Rose Hermès Collection

Today I am reviewing the brand NEW blush from the Rose collection. Inspired by a sensitive and radiant hue, the collection is home to blushes, lip enhancers, and brushes. This collection holds all the keys to a flawless no makeup/ makeup look, ideal for the summer period.

The Silky Blush Powder

Hermes's ultra-light compact blushes add a buildable and natural tint to your cheeks for a flushed appearance. Leaving a shimmering veil on the cheeks, the blush captures and reflects light using pearl microparticles. With an iridescent finish, the skin looks smoother and has a subtle glow. Get a rosy glow this summer with these highly pigmented, compact blushes that add a “pop of pink” to your cheeks.

The Shades

The Rose Hermès Silky Blush is perfect for all skin carnations, available in eight shades. The shades are composed of a camaieu of pinks: From bright coral pinks to deeper rose nuit. My favourite is the shade n.35 Rose Dore. It is a radiant and elegant coral pink that has golden reflections. It highlights the cheek's natural structure and blends out effortlessly.

The Design

The NEW blush collection's minimalistic design looks fantastic. Complete with a round case and an inner off-center mirror. This range of blushers is ideal for on-the-go or at home. Crafted by the talented Pierre Hardy, the fine lines on the powder's surface evoke silk twill.

My Experience

As soon as this collection was released, I rushed to the stores to purchase the blusher and brush. Hermes has mastered the art of fine things, and their orange packaging is just iconic. I selected the rose dore tint and loved the warmth it brings to my cheeks. Using the brush, the blusher blends out perfectly for a natural look. I love how it feels lightweight on the cheeks and doesn't look “heavy” on the surface. The rose dore shade has a beautiful golden reflection that helps blur skin pores and add a healthy appearance. It is one of the best blushes that I have recently tried!

The Twilly Collection

The Twilly collection debuted in 2017 with a more fruity, floral scent. When creating the new “ginger” edition, Hermes had to respect the flowing signature of the Twilly range. The latest version shows a modernized, pushing toward genderless fragrance. Yes, that's correct; this perfume may also suit certain male perfume lovers.

Same perfume, different smell

Everyone has been there before, searching for a perfume someone has been wearing. Although you know the name it just isn't the same?

That's normal, perfume is an ever-changing experience. When a person applies perfume to the skin, their natural pH and lifestyle can modify the scent. Jumping back to what I said about genderless perfume is a great example. The best way to try perfumes is on the skin. First select 3-4 that you like on scent sticks then spray a couple on your skin to see how they evolve.

Another perfume I love from Hermes is Un Jardin sur le Nil.

Hermes Twilly Ginger

The sparkle of the Hermes girls. Twilly ginger has a spicy character. Created with three rich materials, it is a warm, sensual fragrance. It has a long-stay scent thanks to its highly concentrated Eau De parfum. Inside you will find:

Head notes: The first scent you will experience is a vibrant peony flower. With its floral, fresh green notes it uplifts the perfume.

Heart notes: The star of the perfume is bright candied ginger. With sweet, spicy notes it adds a warm oriental note.

Base notes: Holding the perfume together is a lively cedar scent. With its woody, earth notes it balances out the other scents. Offering an endless sillage.

Hermes released the perfume in 3 sizes: 35ml, 50ml and 85ml.

Any last words?

After trying it out over a couple of days, I recommend this perfume to those who like a spicy, warm fragrance. I got many compliments, and it lasted all day long. Twilly you have my heart.

The Story

Les Jardins is a collection of perfumes, each telling the story of a genuine encounter between Hermès, the soul of a place and the perfumer-composer. Mostly composed of Fresh, Delicate scents they all have their unique touch. Inviting you to travel to different places in the world.

Sur le Nil

Imagine yourself taking a stroll through the island gardens on the Nile at Aswan. As you explore the lush green garden you experience a universe of scents. From mango, lotus, and calamus to a sycamore tree. This is the heart of this refreshing ode.

The perfume is dressed in its tall green stained bottle and gives off very simple, minimalistic vibes. The box itself reflects the heart of the perfume, the lotus flower.

The Perfume

“Sur le Nil” was released in 2005. Originally a women's fragrance, men can also bathe in this fresh perfume. It is a fruity, aquatic fragrance that gives off summer party vibes. If you are looking for a subtle perfume then this is the right choice! A little more intimate than some of the other fragrances.

The Notes

Perfume is also an expression of our emotions. Depending on the day your desires may change. Hermes decided to kick this scent off with a fruity punch. The top notes are Grapefruit, green mango, tomato and carrot.

These notes had me straight away imagining a vegetable patch in a shadowed garden. There is nothing better than a down-to-root smell of growing vegetables. Bold colours and flavours course through my mind.

Continuing our route we come across the heart notes: Lotus, bulrush, orange and peony. Stepping closer to the water's edge we get citrus and aquatic note. When I say aquatic, I can't help but think of cucumber, and green notes.

Last but not least we come across an earthy note, the base notes: musk, iris, incense & cinnamon. This gives a strong powdered finish to the perfume. Making it smooth and delicate. Did you know that musk is mostly used in perfumes to prolong the durability of the scent?

My Experience

I love to have options when it comes to perfume, so using this unique boost of summer was a true pleasure. In this scent, I enjoyed the different scents of a sweet, green, garden but do not recommend this if you are looking for a noticeable perfume.

I didn't expect a long-lasting scent with Hermes Un Jardin sur le Nil being an EDT. But somehow this perfume becomes one with the skin. Evolving into a gentle fragrance on the skin it is a perfect perfume for a more discreet person or on a hot summer's day.
