As one of the many essential steps in a makeup routine, correctors allow you to have that flawless skin finish. When selecting your corrector, you must consider what and how you want to cover the skin. Let's take a closer look at Sisley's range:

1. Phyto-Cernes Eclat

The classic corrector from Sisley has stood strong throughout the years. Delivering a beautifully natural correction to the eye contour, it quickly became one of the brand's best-sellers. It is ideal for hiding and reducing signs of fatigue: dark circles, puffiness and dull skin. Phyto-Cernes are used directly from the tube, equipped with a stainless steel top to apply the corrector.

Using a blend of makeup and skincare, the corrector gives you a great look and treats your under-eye for signs of fatigue. Available in 9 shades, the tinted formula instantly covers dark circles and smooths out the undereye. My Review

Having suffered from dark circles all my life, I can say that I have tried hundreds of correctors. Curious to give the Phyto-Cernes Eclat a try, here is my experience.

As advised, I applied the Phyto-Cernes directly with the metal tip, which is a great way to awaken your eyes. The fresh tip applies a fine layer of corrector over the dark circle. I was using my finger to blend out the shade. The corrector has medium coverage, meaning people who suffer from purple/ blueish dark circles will still notice them a little. That said, my under-eye looked way smoother and healthy. The formula reflects light to brighten the eyes without a super shiny finish. After wearing it every day for two weeks, I became more comfortable around the eyes.

What Is Concealer Used For?

Originally concealer was known to hide/ reduce dark circles under the eyes. Whilst this is still very true, you can use it for so much more:

• Applying concealer before/ after your foundation: Hide away those unwanted blemishes or redness.
• Apply it as an eyeshadow base.
• Structure your face by using a lighter shade.
• Hide skin pigmentations or scarring.

The Stylo Correct Concealer

Sisley Paris has released their last generation of concealers, and boy, oh boy, I am happy to see it is a stick format. The concealer pen offers full coverage and a creamy texture that blends out effortlessly. The non-drying texture delivers a luminous matte finish and can be powdered after for a lock-in effect. The concealer has also gained an innovative formula. Targeting blemishes, the stylo corrector helps treat and hide your unwanted guest. The product comes complete with a double-tip format. One side has the concealer pen, and the other has a sponge tip to help smooth out that un easy to access zones.

Regarding shades, Sisley made an effort on several options. You can mix and match 11 magnificent shades with neutral undertones to the Sisley foundation shades.

The Perfect Combination – As I mentioned earlier, the new concealers treat your skin, but what does this mean exactly? Well, inside the creamy texture, you will find:

Benzoic Acid Minimizes Blemishes – Vitamin E Acetate is an anti-free radical and potent antioxidant. Alpha-bisabolol soothes irritated or stressed skin and reduces discomfort.

How To Use Them?

The brand has designed the concealer around blemishes and the problems they bring with them. This means you can easily hide redness and pigmentations on the face/ body. You can apply this concealer to any blemish, redness or pigmentation before your foundation. Use your fingers or the sponge tip to blend out the shade. Slowly build up the coverage in layers.

My Review

Concealer is the one product I honestly couldn't live without. Whether it's covering a surprise pimple or trying to mask the deep blue under-eye. I apply this product every day.

What Did I Like?

The first thing I noticed when applying the concealer has a smooth, creamy texture. Easy to use with the stick and blend, the concealer offers medium to high coverage depending on the quantity applied. Its coverage is easy to blend out onto natural skin or makeup.

The Best Fact?

The best part about this concealer is the skincare inside it. The concealer helped my redness so much. Time after time, I could see my skin getting better.

Ultimately in love with the natural look it leaves, I wish the concealer would dry out a little more. I used a loose powder to fix that, but it is not an issue after experiencing the performance and finish of this new favourite of mine.

Also, I have noticed my base makeup applies and looks so well when I have exfoliated my skin. My new favourite is from Sisley, which I shared earlier.

Sisley Paris Stylo Lumiere is an all-in-one cushion pen that captures the light, conceals signs of fatigue, and helps smoothes wrinkles and fine lines with a single twist, giving a more radiant complexion, shadowy areas are concealed and eyes are brightened.

Key Ingredients

The key ingredients and the technology used for the formula are:

‘Spectacular Light' pigments in the formula help boost the skin's radiance. It has a refractive index close to that of a diamond; the pigments attract and reflect light effectively. Therefore, the formula's smooth surface acts like thousands of tiny mirrors to cloak skin in a halo of light.

The pigments are coated with Lecithin (derived from soybeans) to create a formula that melts into the skin and provides coverage. Moreover, it helps with erasing imperfections and signs of fatigue. In addition, the soft-focus agents create an even, smoothing, and satiny finish on the skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by giving a blurring effect.

Active ingredients Acai extract (boosts skin's radiance), Golden Apple Tree extract (enhances the reflection of light), Oat seed extract (gives tightening effect), and White Lilly extract (hydrates skin)

Shades

There are four fresh and luminous shades available in this collection and all of them blend seamlessly and have long-lasting wear time:

• 1 Pearly Rose – Illuminates very fair-to-fair complexions with pink undertones
• 2 Peach Rose – Illuminates fair complexions with beige or natural undertones
• 3 Soft Beige – Illuminates medium complexions with golden undertones
• Lastly, 4 Golden Beige – Illuminates olive complexions with golden undertones

Sisley Paris Stylo Lumiere can be applied in three different ways:

• alone on bare skin,
• And, before the foundation refreshes features,
• Also, after foundation to brighten shadowy areas

My Thoughts

I have been using this cushion pen daily and love the finish. It works great for brightening the face on a no-foundation or no-makeup look. It blends in beautifully on the skin, making it look like a second skin. The skin looks radiant and naturally flawless. It blurs problem areas. On foundation days, it makes the complexion look bright overall. The skin looks natural yet flawless with the blurring and smoothing effect on the skin that it provides.

I use it around the eye area to brighten up the tired eye. Similarly, it gives a radiant and lifting effect on the center of the forehead, the bridge of the nose, and under the brow bone.

The formula blends nicely into the skin, an actual second-skin effect. It does not settle in the problem areas and is hydrating yet satiny and smooth, with no oiliness or greasiness. The packaging is classic, and the silver exterior looks shiny and like a jewel. The soft foam of the cushion applicator helps with an easy application. In addition, the twist-on works well to get the perfect amount out of the foam cushion.

I dot the product on the areas I want to brighten and blur the imperfections, then I blend. I prefer to use my finger to tap and blend in the product after application. Also, I feel the warmth of the skin on the fingers, which makes the product melt into the skin. I alternate between shades 3 Soft Beige and 4 Golden Beige as the season changes.
