This perfume is ideal for summer or for those wanting an intimate sillage. It is a perfume that can be smelt once closer to the person. Also, it lasts a couple of hours on the skin and sets a classy ambiance for the wearer.

It is time to explore the olfactive face of Alma's scent. And this fragrance promises fresh, dynamic notes.

The perfume opens with strong bergamot, cardamom, and basil trio. Extremely revitalizing, these fresh, green notes plunge you right into nature. The perfume intensifies with a bouquet of sensual, powdered flowers: Water Iris Accord, Rose Accord, and Jasmine Accord. They are setting the scene of elegance and fresh air. As you journey under the shading trees, the scene is set in a green aquatic space. Notice a more earthy, woody scent. This is the base note of the perfume. Composed of three well-known and long-lasting notes. Alma finishes with Vetiver, patchouli, and cedar. This scent, although very floral, is unisex.

My Experience

Before having the chance to discover the aquatic juice of Alma, I was mesmerized by the universe it creates. Having often travelled to France, this brought back great memories.

The perfume is a delight to wear and lasts pretty long. I love how the notes give off that aquatic vibe. If you are a lover of fresh but not lemony scents, then this is perfect. Could it be the scent of summer 2023?

The Notes

Orange blossom, Magnolia, Jasmine, Tuberose.

This perfume has a powerful, solar character with a rich floral bouquet. Composed of mostly white flowers, the scent is fresh and brings sensuality to those who wear it. Jasmine is a great flower to use to add longevity to a fragrance. Meaning this beauty should last you a while.

The dried pink pepper berries are known for their aromatic scent. Perfectly matched with floral notes, they add balance as well as warm, gentle spice to the perfume.

Lastly, we have the smooth, woody notes of the Cedarwood. Bringing harmony to the perfume, it is also what gives off the marine, salty, watered scent.

My Experience

Having recently discovered Veronique Gabai’s Aroma collection, I was excited to test her range of perfumes. “Sur La Plage” lives up to its image. From the very first time I smelt this fragrance, I loved it. The perfume has fresh, uplifting notes that we all know very well, yet this perfume hits differently. Above all, Veronique Gabai has mastered the art of perfume; each scent telling a story becomes more personal.

Easy to wear, this perfume is great for everyday use or as an elegantly pure signature fragrance. The floral notes lasted me through the day, releasing themselves like waves hitting the shore. Above all, I adore Veronique Gabai’s products’ transparency concerning the composition and the bottle’s lifetime. Therefore, I 100% recommend checking out her range of fragrances.

My Experience

When it comes to perfume we are flooded with choices. Recently I have taken an interest in skincare brands, like Chantecaille's releasing fragrances. This perfume is hypoallergenic and made up of natural ingredients. Because yes, your perfume stays all day long on your skin.

“Le wild” has a unique scent. As the description mentions it has the power to open up your imagination. I am a very big fan of the green floral notes found here. I love the freshness and vibrance we can smell in these wildflowers.

The perfume's fragrance slowly fades leaving an almost humid, rainy scent. Lasting around 5 hours it releases notes from time to time. Almost like reminders throughout the day. If you too like intimate, easy-to-wear fragrances then this is for you!

Another favourite fragrance I have from Chantecaille is Darby Rose.

A brand that joins traditional French parfumerie to the philosophy of Feng Shui. Lola Tillyaeva released “The Harmonist” in 2016. Through her fragrances, she hopes to offer balance and wellbeing. Strongly believing in self-discovery, they hope to encompass and enlighten those that wear the fragrances. I was really impressed by the house when I tried Matrix Metal a few months ago.

Feng Shui

Feng shui, an ancient Chinese tradition that revolves around a balance of yin and yang, the five elements and energy forces. This brings harmony to the individuals with themselves and their surrounding environment.

Yin transformation: Eau De Parfum

This Eau De Parfum is about embracing today's joys and tomorrow's journeys. Captured inside its elegantly modern blue bottle is a floral concentrate. With sparkling, fresh notes this perfume is sure to spark some light in you. Available to purchase in 50ml, the perfume is sold at 250$. If you wish to try before you buy then choosing the sample format (1.5ml) is a good idea. The fragrance is classed in the aquatic family. A multitude of flowers represents the transformational power of water.

The Five Elements

The brand is designed around Feng shui and the five elements: wood, fire, earth, water and metal. The harmonist believes that these are the building blocks of each person. The Notes: Yin Transformation

Top Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Pink Peppercorn

The perfume opens up with some dynamic citrus notes. Balanced out by the pink peppercorn, the bergamot and Mandarin become sweet and refreshing.

Middle Notes: Calypso Orchid, Bulgarian Rose, Mate Tea.

At the heart of the perfume is a deeper floral touch. The Calypso orchid has a more fruity character, but balanced with the rose it adds elegance.

Base Notes: Iris, Sandalwood, White Musk

Finally, we get soft, comforting notes of iris and sandalwood. These two notes add hours to your perfume. The white musk is powdery, perfect for harmonizing all of the notes.

My Experience

My first impressions were good. This perfume is so fresh and easy to wear. I particularly enjoyed the floral notes that are underlined with Sandalwood. Overall, I would say this perfume is suitable for people of all ages.

I found the longevity of the perfume to be correct, lasting around 4/ 5 hours. If you enjoy more intimate, aquatic fragrances that boost your senses then this is for you. It is a definite mood booster and is a breath of fresh air in the perfume world. Elegant, modern and awakening, this perfume has its uniqueness that is worth the discovery.
